Welcome back to school.  I hope everyone is off to a great start and an exciting year.  As auditions are fast approaching please make sure that your school participation fee is paid so there are no surprises.  The online system is up and running and nominations are being made as I type.  Please note that the nomination deadline is September 18, 2009 and since it is handled by the computer, there are no extensions.  We will turn the nominations around as quickly as possible and get your audition times to you as soon as we can.  We are also asking that any special requests for times be turned in by this deadline and we will do our best to meet everyone’s requests.  Special requests should be sent directly to me and I will forward them to our scheduler.

We have added the JEM division to the online system and will be selecting the groups and billing the schools through the online system.  Please contact myself or your representatives if you have problems or questions getting your students nominated.

CHANGES FOR THE DISTRICT ENSEMBLES:

We have added a junior vocal jazz ensemble which will be selected by nomination.  They will rehearse at the JEM/Jazz festival and will perform with the JEM Elementary Chorus and the Junior Jazz Band.  The director for this group this year is Ryan Rimington.

Please make sure you are using the correct junior band scales as they are now standardized across the state.  They can be found on this website under "Division Information".
