Four Steps to the Violin Audition

2. Recording/Adjudication

a. 2 rooms per student: 1 for scales & 1 for excerpts

b. 1 Judge for Scales

c. 1 Judge for Excerpt

d. Scales Score + Excerpts Score = Total Score

e. Score tally sheets will be used in each room and will be combined for a final score, which will then be put into the computer database.

3. Placement into 1st and 2nd Seating (36 Students for SH)

a. 1-8 (1st violin), 9-16 (2"a violin), 17-36 alternating by stand and section (will continue in same manner for Junior Level)

b. Single School Representatives will be added to the end of a section after all the available seats have been filled within the ensemble.
