PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The Illinois Music Educators Association has been active in providing professional development opportunities for Illinois music educators since the Association's founding in 1939.  Literally thousands of workshops have been presented at the annual IMEA "All-State" Music Conference.

More recently, IMEA has expanded professional development offerings to include both the District Festivals and, of special significance, summer "best practices" workshops.
